Side effects
Seek emergency medical care if have any of the following allergic reactions: swelling or your lips, tongue, face or throat; hives and difficult breathing.
Contact your doctor if you experience any of these serious side effects:
- weight changes, feeling short of breath, swelling,
- vision changes,
- bloody or tarry stools, coughing up blood,
- high blood pressure,
- chest pain, confusion, anxiety, blurred vision, severe headache, irregular heartbeat, seizure and ringing in the ears,
- vomiting, nausea,
- severe depression.
Less serious side effects that Prednisone may cause are:
- sleep problems (insomnia), mood changes;
- slow wound healing,
- dry skin, acne, thinning skin, bruising or discoloration,
- mood changes, sleep problems,
- increased sweating,
- dizziness, spinning sensation, headache,
- stomach pain, nausea, bloating,
- body fat shape changes, or changes of fat location,
- increased blood sugar for diabetics,
- abdominal pain,
- weakness, usual fatigue.
